I went to Cheers Bar & Grill with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday party. Although I don't drink, I do love to eat, and Cheers had a wide selection of delicious appetizers and shareable snack foods to eat, which was perfect for the party setting. And it didn't look like we were the only ones celebrating as right when we arrived, there were two other parties that were celebrating their own respective parties/get-togethers. And it was no surprise, as the restaurant is definitely a great place to hang out with your friends to eat some tasty food and drink the night away! From what I saw from the rest of my group, they all seemed to enjoy sipping on their margaritas and mimosas that were ordered. We also ordered a large variety of the appetizer menu to share, including the quesadilla, the birria quesadilla, carne asada fries, cheesy tater tots, pizza, wings, ceviche, and nachos. All the food that came out was hot and fresh, and everything tasted great! I really enjoyed the cheesy tater tots and the birria quesadilla. The humungo portion of tots were super crisp and had a really nice flavor while the birria quesadilla was also extra tasty and came with a dipping sauce that made the quesadilla so much more rich and flavorful. The servers were all very friendly and attentive, and the food that we ordered came out in a very timely manner, even when our party had basically ordered their entire appetizer menu. At the time of our visit, there was also a band inside the restaurant singing some live music and a DJ in the outside patio playing some killer remixes. I saw that they also have a lot of other kinds of fun events (karaoke, sporting events, etc.) hosted at the restaurant depending on the day of the week. Overall, it was a great birthday party celebration for the birthday girl and I would totally recommend visiting Cheers Bar & Grill for some good times.
good wings, stiff drinks. too hood. I hear good and bad things about this place, I have have been there by myself and with others. come have a drink and wings.
Got to visit this San Gabriel Gem off the recommendation of a friend and I am so glad I did! The ambience is fun, the food delicious and they have great deals on drinks! The staff is also incredibly welcoming and makes great suggestions on what to try. I went with the Smash burger since I'm a burger kind of gal, and it did not disappoint! The fries were also extra crispy and seasoned perfectly! The tequila I had was smooth and enjoyable! I can't wait to go back and visit again with friends; hopefully we'll get to play some pool this time!
My buddy and I found this spot to kill time while our wives were getting pampered. Since it was around lunch time, there was no one inside. The place is big and plenty of parking on the property. He ambiance walking in was a bit different from local bars Im use to going into. They had a nice bottle srevice/lounge area that looked like a coll spot to celebrate in. Plenty of tvs to watch the games. Nice selection of brews on tap as well as bottled beer. We ordered the Asada Fries which was surprisingly good. Big plate that we shared. Our bartender was cool to talk to and provided great customer service.
Cheers Bar and Grill seems to draw its name and inspiration from the classic sitcom where "everybody knows your name," and that warmth certainly adds to the overall ambience. It had been a while since my last visit, but I was pleasantly surprised to find familiar faces, making it feel like a homecoming of sorts. Catching up and saying hi to old friends was a delightful start to the evening. The staff, although sometimes busy (I suspect there's just one bartender at times), manages admirably to provide speedy service. They do their best to keep the drinks flowing, and I didn't mind the wait. What really caught my attention was the affordability of the drinks. A five-dollar shot menu that doesn't feature bottom-shelf or well liquors is a rare find. The likes of Jamison and Hennessey are on offer, and this kind of pricing is hard to come by elsewhere. Craft beer options, starting at around seven dollars, added to the appeal. Now, let's talk about the food - delicious and generously portioned. Most items on the menu are perfect for sharing with a group. On our visit, we enjoyed wings, fries, and pizza - a great match to go along with our drinks. All in all, Cheers Bar and Grill has that inviting vibe where you feel like you belong. Familiar faces, reasonable drink prices, and tasty food make it a spot worth revisiting. I'm definitely making sure my next visit isn't too far in the future.
Wow! Cheers! Always changing with the times.. I love it! Want to have a chill day drink time? Go to Cheers! Want to have fun but drink more drinks than you should? Yeah, this is the spot. Finally got to check out this exceptionally lively venue when meeting some awesome and lovely Yelp friends for lunch! Great vibes, very fun pub style atmosphere, and the Cheers Fries with Birria were totally delicious. Met up with such an awesome Yelp crew - Nikki B, Te-See, Graciela, Jessica, Mario, Maritsa and finally got to meet the lovely Tina H IRL!! Such a long overdue meet up haha! In spite of the lively chaos of the rowdy birthday party, we had a lovely, relaxing rainy day lunch. Honestly the surrounding party just added to the fun atmosphere. (Tysm to the always wonderful Nikki B for the invite - was a much needed distraction xoxoxoxo)!! I agree with the other reviews - definitely much more of a bar/pub kinda place than a grill. There's a small food menu and you order at the bar. It definitely gets chaotic when busy - but the bartender was SO NICE! And he checked on us frequently - even though he seemed to be the only staff in the whole place lol! I know he was working his tush off so huge shout out to him! Our party tried the classic margarita and a champagne cocktail called the French 75 - they enjoyed the French 75 but not so much the margarita. Others got a burger and onion rings and said they were good - but I have to say, the portion on the onion rings was so tiny - not sure it's worth it. I ordered the Cheers Fries with Birria and it was SO GOOD! Lots of creamy cheese and tons of tender, flavorful Birria...great fries too. I'd definitely order this again. It was pouring rain and the place was absolutely packed due to a private birthday party - no where for us to sit. There's a small room off to the left of the entrance that was reserved for a private paint and sip party and they were so nice to let us use it! Their parking lot is extremely small and fills up super fast but there's lots of street parking in the area so no worries. I definitely enjoyed our get together and would happily return!
I was looking for a central location where my darling Yelp friends and I could get together and Cheers seemed like the perfect spot. I've been here a few times before. The cocktails are tasty, especially the fresh watermelon margarita, and the food is particularly good. The place is spacious, and the atmosphere is cozy. In addition to the bar area there is a lounge, a dance floor, and a pool table. However, what I didn't anticipate was that it would be packed because of a birthday celebration and since it was raining sitting outside was not an option. Luckily, there is a separate room where they have wine tastings on Thursday, so we had our own little private party in there. We went to the bar to order our food and drinks. The staff were so friendly. They brought our food and checked on us. My French 75 was exceptionally good, and the onion rings were yummy! I had such a great time with my wonderful friends that I adore. I'm so grateful everyone braved the rain so we could spend quality time together. *Brunch on Sat & Sun (11 am - 4 pm), Karaoke nights (Mon & Tues 8pm - 12:30 am) $2 tacos on Wednesday, Beverage events on Thursday, DJ Wed - Sun 8 pm - 1 am. The kitchen is open from 11 am - 1 am. Free parking on the street or in their lot.
Being on Yelp has given me the opportunity not only to try new places but to meet some really wonderful people! This afternoon the beautiful Nikki, my fellow yelper and dear friend gathered a group of us at this location. The rain was pouring but there was NO WAY I was missing my chance to meet some of these peeps in RT. They were having a private party but were kind enough to let us use the small room in the front. This place is rather large with a pool table and game like area off to the side. They also have karaoke but not while we were there. Cheers serves drinks and food. The bar itself is towards the back just before you hit the restrooms! Lol. Had the most amazing time seeing everyone. What a great groups of people with so much personality and love. I feel so blessed to know them all and look forward to many more gatherings with all of my fellow "Yelpers!" *Parking lot on the side but fills up quickly - plenty of street parki *Great Party venue *Karaoke *Pool Table *Sports Bar
